A great lot of people always willing to help
Northern Pharmacies, Craigavon has been my local chemist for many years, and one which I have attended from a young age. Firstly, the staff are amazing; always friendly and willing to help with whatever query or queries I may have. They also work tirelessly to deal with the vast amount of patients and customers that enter the shop on a daily basis. Even with the busy schedules of the pharmacists themselves, they are always willing to answer any medical queries that they can use their expertise to assist with in an approachable, professional manner. I think what's important to remember is that with the very high volume of prescriptions that this pharmacy receives, and the responsibility that the pharmacists have in ensuring everything is correct, it's not easy to have items checked within seconds and thus waiting is unavoidable. But with the amazing prescription collection services or the automatic sending of scripts to the pharmacy from different surgeries ensures waiting times are kept to a minimum, and something I have never experienced any problem with. I wouldn't, and haven't ever, changed my local pharmacy from this one.
I use this pharmacy weekly. The shop is very well stocked, with a great variety of products, and has some good bargains. However, the staff are poor. It's so slow, even when it's not busy. To start with the pharmacy was closed both on Saturday and Monday of the St Patrick's bank holiday. I get the Saturday or the Monday, but not both. Went in today. Shop was 5 mins late opening once again. I was the very first customer through the door, there was at least seven members of staff behind the counter. 10-15 mins before my medicines were ready. My prescription is a weekly so it's only a matter of going to the drawer and removing it and getting the pharmacist to check it. The shop was updated recently with a robotic system that should have speed things up. I think they its been slower since it's installation. It can be very busy at times, to be fair, but there is always plenty of staff on duty but it's almost always total bedlam. The left hand does not know what the right is doing. I want to be clear, there is on rudeness, or negativity from the staff. Just a total a total lackadaisical attitude. I genuinely don't like leaving this negative review, but this has been going on for too long now.
